- Functional preferences stay off unless you allow them. No analytics, advertising, marketing or third-party tracking scripts are added by these controls.
- Accept or reject optional preferences. To change or withdraw your choice, use the Cookies button to reopen the popup and select Cookie settings.

What this notice covers
Cookies are small items of browser data. Similar rules can also apply to local storage, device identifiers and other technologies; calling a technology something other than a cookie does not make it exempt. This notice covers the current WorkWithAri website, not storage inside the installed Ari app or a third-party site you choose to visit.
The website sets the two first-party cookies described below. It does not use localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB for these functions and has no authored analytics, advertising-pixel or cross-site tracking SDK. Its own assets and fonts are self-hosted. Production hosting/security settings outside the repository still need review alongside this inventory.
These cookies are set by JavaScript for this host only, with Path=/ and SameSite=Lax. They use Secure when the page is served over HTTPS. They are readable by client-side code, rather than HttpOnly cookies. They contain no names, email addresses, typed questions, enquiry text or randomly assigned visitor identifier.
Current inventory
| Mechanism | Purpose | Lifetime / control |
|---|---|---|
| ari_cookie_consent — necessary cookie | Remember your choice: notice version 1, decision time, expiry time and a functional-preferences true/false setting. This record is also used when you reject optional preferences. | Set for up to 180 days from the saved choice. Host-only, Path=/, SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS. Browser controls may remove it earlier. |
| ari_site_preferences — optional functional cookie | Remember an allowlisted FAQ category so the category you choose can be restored. It is set only after functional preferences are allowed. | Expires no later than the saved cookie choice. Rejection or withdrawal deletes it. No free-text input or unique visitor ID is stored. |
| Contact token and request ID in JavaScript memory | Validate a requested enquiry and prevent duplicate delivery. | The token is valid for up to one hour. This implementation holds it in page memory, not persistent browser storage; browser cache/history can retain or restore page state. |
| Local tour and animation state | Display the chosen illustrative tour and responsive animation. | Current page memory. It is not a persistent personal profile. |
| HTTP/browser asset cache | Load shipped scripts, fonts and artwork efficiently. | Managed by browser and response cache settings; clear using browser controls. |
| Server-side abuse/delivery references | Security rate limits and duplicate-request protection. | Server instance memory: ten-minute rate buckets and up to twenty-four-hour deduplication references. These are not browser cookies. |
Your choice and optional preferences
The cookie banner gives Accept and Reject equally prominent primary controls. Accept allows the optional FAQ preference; Reject leaves it off and removes any previously saved optional preference. Both choices can be remembered in the necessary choice cookie. You can read the site and use the core enquiry form without allowing functional preferences.
Cookie settings in the popup lets you inspect and change the functional-preference setting. Save applies the choice; Cancel closes settings without saving a change. Use the Cookies button at any time to reopen the popup and select Cookie settings to withdraw permission: save functional preferences as off, or reject optional preferences. The optional preference cookie is then removed while the necessary record remembers your updated choice.
The 180-day maximum is our chosen product lifetime, not a legal retention mandate. Cookies can expire or be cleared earlier by your browser. If a choice is missing, invalid or expired, optional preferences stay off until you choose again. A different browser or device has its own choice.
If your browser blocks cookies, the controls keep optional persistence off and explain that the choice could not be saved; they do not claim that it was remembered. You may see the choice again. Browser settings can also block or remove these cookies directly.
No analytics, advertising, marketing-provider or third-party tracking tools are enabled by either button. If such technology is proposed later, it must be separately inventoried and explained with the relevant lawful choice before it is used. An ordinary visit or acceptance of functional preferences is not consent to future tracking, marketing or a new processing purpose.
External AI sites and links
The footer includes optional links to external AI/search services. The link can contain a fixed public product-description prompt; it does not contain your typed hero question or private enquiry. Once you navigate, that service may set its own cookies, use account context and apply its own privacy notice.
No third-party AI chat is embedded in the site. An illustrative browser frame is local website content, not a live logged-in browser session. Avoid sending confidential information to an external service unless you understand the terms and the account you are using.
Your browser controls and related records
The choice record is kept in your browser, not uploaded by these controls to a profiling service or separate server-side consent register. Cookies are nevertheless automatically sent with requests to the same host when the browser permits them, so the hosting infrastructure can receive their values. They are not a guarantee of anonymous browsing or the absence of server logs.
You can clear browser caches, close the tab, use content/privacy controls and choose not to follow external links. Browsers can retain or restore form values through history, autofill or page caching under their own settings. Removing local browser data does not retract an enquiry already emailed to the team or remove hosting logs. The Privacy policy explains those separate records and how to make a request.
Blocking all scripts may disable cookie controls, animated demonstrations and form delivery. The static legal document text remains readable without scripts. Cookie choices on this website do not change installed Ari settings, revoke a model-provider permission or delete information on your Mac or iPhone.
